Holly and Matt, two Australians living in Canada had been planning their dream wedding in Byron Bay for months. They had just flown into Sydney when the COVID restrictions closed their wedding venue in the Bay Hinterland, days before the big day. Holly and her hubby Matt realised being married was more important than anything else, so they planned an impromptu elopement. “Thankfully my gorgeous Milo wedding dress and Vine Veil rush order had arrived into The Bridal Atelier ahead of schedule at the start of March before all the COVID craziness kicked in and I was able to look glamorous for the elopement (even if I did have to do my own hair and makeup).” They booked an AirBnB and did DIY styling for the ceremony with mum and sister, featuring the Moroccan wedding blanket they had bought for the wedding.
